At Hamptons, we’re committed to making a positive impact on the communities we serve, and beyond. Minimising our environmental impact, supporting local organisations and championing mental health are at the heart of that commitment
From small gestures like our sustainable property boards to turning up by the minibus-load to clean up beaches and planting 150 trees to commemorate our 150 years. We’ve also partnered with Just Move In, a certified B Corporation.
Together we are helping new customers switch to 100% renewable energy plans and planting a carbon absorbing mangrove tree when they take up their Home Setup service. We’ve chosen not to take any referral fees from the partnership. Instead all funds raised will be donated to Mind. Mind are a charity that provides advice and support to anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to raise awareness, improve services and promote understanding.
Corporate Social Responsibility is important to us and we try to give something back to each of the local areas in which we operate. We are very proud of how engaged our employees are at a local level and how as a company we’ve raised £360,000 in the fight against cancer and £25,000 to aid a seagrass project that creates habitats to encourage more sea-life.
More recently, we have launched our Move & Give initiative, in partnership with Doree Bonner International and Mind, to make it easy for our customers to donate unwanted items on the day they move out. Customers who use the Doree Bonner International removals service have the opportunity to donate unwanted clothes, homeware, entertainment, electronics, and non-perishable foods to local foodbanks and Mind charity shops across London and the south of England as part of the removals service.
