Widcombe is known as a fashionable and popular artisan quarter of Bath with the shops, bars and independent businesses all offering a certain creativity, style and artistry about them. Widcombe Parade itself benefits from a variety of independent shops including a delicatessen, florist, framers and a coffee shop. The Parade alone offers three public houses including the well-regarded White Hart. On a practical note, there is also a small supermarket, dentist, pharmacist and doctors surgery. There is a pedestrian bridge at the end of Widcombe Parade crossing the River Avon and leads directly into Bath Spa Railway Station.
